Bring refreshed awareness through your journey.

HOW SOON IS NOW?

Welcome

My name is Yvonne deGrasse, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive clinical training and experience supporting teens, individuals, and families through life's challenges. I identify as neuroqueer and my practice is rooted in compassion, respect, and evidence-based care for people of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, and lived experiences.

During my graduate training at Pepperdine University, I was educated in interventions designed to help clients move toward greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and renewed hope for the future. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding — and grows through intentional, supported action.

In our work together, I gently challenge negative self-talk and help identify patterns of coping that may no longer be serving you. My primary approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) integrated when support with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills is needed. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for clients whose sleep is impacting their mental health.

I provide an affirming, inclusive space for all teens and adults — including LGBTQI+ individuals and families, and neurodivergent clients navigating ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. As an active clinical therapist at the Neuro Divergent Collective, I helped develop their clinical neurodivergence program, and I bring that specialized experience to my work — tailoring my approach to honor neurodivergent ways of processing emotions, relationships, and the world, rather than pathologizing them.

Whether you are exploring identity, navigating transitions, managing anxiety, depression, psychotic symptoms or mood instability, addressing substance use, working through family conflict, or seeking greater clarity and balance, therapy is a place where you will be met with dignity, safety, and understanding.

Every client deserves care that honors who they are.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your loved ones to discuss your current mental health needs or other life concerns, and to explore how we can work collaboratively toward growth, stability, and lasting change..

Teen specialty

Adolescence can be complex, especially when mental health, behavioral challenges, or substance use concerns are involved. With extensive experience serving high-risk youth in county-contracted agencies — including collaboration with Orange County Children and Family Services — specialized, developmentally appropriate care is provided for teens facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Services include:

  • Individual therapy for teens

  • Substance use disorder treatment and relapse prevention

  • Withdrawal symptom identification and stabilization support

  • Dual diagnosis treatment (mental health + substance use)

  • Family and multi-family therapy interventions

  • Wraparound services in collaboration with schools, IEP teams, and community partners

  • In-home and school-based therapeutic support (as appropriate)

Experience includes working in residential treatment centers for adolescents with co-occurring disorders, as well as private practice and hospital settings.

The goal is to provide structured, compassionate, and collaborative treatment that strengthens teens, supports families, and connects youth with the resources they need to stabilize and thrive.

Your Questions, Answered

How do in person and/or online sessions work?

Once you become a client and schedule your first appointment, you'll receive a private video link for online sessions. Simply click the link at your scheduled time to meet with me in a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual space. In-person appointments are held at my Newport Beach, CA office.

Can I switch counselors if I feel it’s not a good fit?

Absolutely. Chemistry matters. If at any point you’d like to work with a different clinician, let me know and I’ll assist you with another clinician—no additional charge or explanation needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I operate as an out-of-network provider. Upon request, I supply detailed receipts (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Check with your plan for coverage specifics.
